Popcorn Review by Ilana Susnow

Scarlett Johansen plays a recent college graduate looking to discover who she truly is. In the process she ends up learning more about the Upper East Side (of Manhattan, NY), upper class lifestyle than she could have imagine existed. In fact, the entire movie is a satire of this lifestyle. There are nanny categories, nanny meetings and nanny cams! And you better not date during you little personal time because Upper East Side mothers will use it against you!

Positives
If you like the book, then you will like the movie. This movie is definitely appropriate for children and not unbearable to watch as a chaperone. Cute and entertaining storyline and characters.

Negatives
If you want a movie that will make you think, that will engage you and that will make you feel invested in the characters, then this is not the movie for you. The storyline is loosely fun but that is all this movie is, if that at all…fun.

Bottom Line
If you want a movie that needs little concentration then this is the movie for you. If you are looking for anything else you can skip this one.
